Sunshine and the sizzle of the grill filled the air at our 2nd Annual “Give Recovery” Barbecue, a joyous celebration of the strength and resilience found in recovery, rooted in the unwavering support of God and our church community. Members of our sober living house, along with their cherished friends and family, gathered to share laughter, delicious food, and inspiring stories of transformation, all while acknowledging the divine presence that guides their journey.
Alumni of the house, now thriving in their sobriety, returned to reconnect and offer encouragement to those still on their path, sharing testimonies of how faith and the church’s embrace played a vital role in their recovery. The event fostered a sense of community and hope, a testament to the power of faith, fellowship, and the unwavering belief that recovery is possible with God’s grace.
The barbecue was more than just a fun gathering; it was a living testament to the transformative power of God’s love and the church’s unwavering support. As the day drew to a close, it was clear that the “Give Recovery” Barbecue had not only nourished bodies but also uplifted spirits, leaving everyone feeling empowered and motivated to continue their path towards lasting recovery, hand-in-hand with their faith and community.
